One of the best ways to boost membership in your Toastmaster Club is by hosting an Open House. An Open House is a party given by the club with the goal of attracting guest who has the potential of becoming a club member.
Here are a few ideas:
- Host your Open House around a Holiday
- March: St. Patrick’s Day, International Day of Happiness, National Puppy Day and March is National Nutrition month and Women’s History month
- April: Fools Day, Easter, Tax Day, Earth Day
- Club Charter Anniversary
- Invite and celebrate charter members
- Invite everyone who has been a member of the club
- Emphasis on the Toastmaster Educational Program
- Helps those where English is a second language
- Guest speaker
- One of the District contest winners
- Workshop on 60-second elevator speech
- Speech-a-thon
These are just a few ideas to help you and your club members come up with an Open House for your Toastmaster Club.
