Save time by using the trick of prefilling your Toastmasters club membership form. It will make your club look more professional. It will give you precious extra minutes to spend with your new prospective member vs. looking up your club number, etc.
Download the membership Application
- Start by putting in your club number, then club name and club city
- When your new applicant is filling out the address line – remind them that this is the address where their monthly Toastmaster magazine will arrive.
- Be sure that their phone number and email address is legible because they will receive correspondence from your club as well as District 44 and Toastmasters International
Dues: Make sure that all officers know how to calculate the Membership dues especially since they are prorated from the new member’s start month. They will also need to know how to prorate your club dues – not just Toastmasters International dues of $7.50 per month.
WARNING: World Headquarters does not collect club dues. So if you fill out the payment information with a credit card know that only Toastmaster International dues will be paid as well as the $20 new member fee (which covers the New Member Kit).
Check with your club Treasurer as to the best method of payment.
Include the pre-filled Membership Application in your guest packet. Also, have a few extra on hand “just in case”.
