TOASTMASTERS MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: PHONE SCRIPT

How are you doing? (Use a reconnection point of anything that you know about them: work, family, hobby, interest, last Toastmasters speech, birthday, anniversary etc.). Have you accomplished your goal since you joined Toastmasters?
We are reaching out to you to remind you that it is time to renew your membership. You are a valuable member of our club and we look forward to continuing your Toastmasters journey with us.
Possible Replies
- If you get Voicemail
“Hi this (your name) this year’s (officer role) for (your club’s name). I called to thank you for your membership and continued support of our club and to remind you that we would like for you to continue with (club name) as a membership.”
The easiest way to renew your membership is to contact our Club Treasurer (Treasurer name and phone #).
If you prefer to renew online we will email a link to our club’s PayPal account. If paying online you will receive an email receipt. Thank you and we look forward to your renewal so that you can continue your Toastmasters Journey.

We can renew your membership now using your credit card if you’d like. If so, I will send you an email with instructions about renewing online. Thank you for continuing to invest in yourself and leverage all the benefits Toastmasters has to offer.

May I ask why you decided not to renew?
Generic Response (after they give a reason): I’m sorry that you feel that way. I know other un-renewed members felt that way too until they found that the benefits really helped them in their work, business and relationship building. Just the local networking opportunities and the confidence one gains makes it worthwhile.
Is there anything that we can do so you reconsider renewing your membership? (Wait for answer) I will pass this information along to our Club Leadership team.
Not convenient place/time suggest that they reconnect with another club in our district or in another location convenient to them to continue their personal development.
